Three New Faery Avatars
The interesting thing about creating avatars in Second Life is that I never really know which avatar might appeal to Second Life residents. Sometimes I create an avatar that I personally love but for some reason isn’t really popular and doesn’t sell well. Other times, I create an avatar or a series that appeals to a broad audience or attracts a niche. In the case of my fantasy avatars, the faery queen series is quite popular.
Before making the faery queens, I made a very basic faery that I called Maeva.
She was my first attempt at a fantasy avatar and, though lovely, nowhere near as complex and interesting, in my mind, as the faery queens.
I was actually going to retire her after releasing the faery queens. However, one of my customers talked me out of that, explaining that she was a great starter faery for newcomers to fantasy avatars. Here’s the interesting part: once the faery queens went up and attracted a strong following, little Maeva also started to attract a following of her own and became a very popular item.
I thought it was time to create a few sisters for Maeva. Here there are:
Miri Pink Faery
Mauve Lavendar Faery
Matahina Blue Faery
Come see them for yourself at the Atea Avatars Mainstore. Stop for a while and take a stroll though the pathway in the faery forest. If you explore the Atea Avatars grounds you might just find the faery queen’s residence. http://slurl.com/secondlife/Qissence/121/97/49
New Developments at Atea Avatars
I have been amiss in posting all of the exciting new developments at Atea Avatars. The past few months have been devoted to expanding the store and surrounding lands. I hired the SL landscape designer Totem Flow to create a lovely forest with a pathway and waterfalls in the Atea Avatars store garden. It looks wonderful!
I also bought a wonderful new store by SomethingReal Atkey of Artisan Prefabs. I loved the original design of the store, but wanted to customize it to match the Atea Avatar colors (green and yellow). SomethingReal did a fabulous job customizing it to my specifications and the results are spectacular.

I also worked on expanding the Atea Avatar Line and have released my first Neko avatars along with three Role Play characters.
Mahea Urban Neko Female Avatar

Marae Red Cat Neko Female Avatar

Minou Black Cat Neko Female Avatar

Mahere Exotic Role Play Female Avatar

Matthieu Medieval Male Avatars
Future plans include more Role Play characters, additions to the faery queen line, a new faery series, an Angel series, and more Neko characters. I will continue to balance out the number of male and female avatars available to make sure that the guys have as good a selection to choose from as the girls. See you in Second Life!
