Introducing the Faery Queen Series

I’ve finally finished the Faery Queen series I have been working on this fall. The Atea Avatars Faery Queens are elegant, sophisticated faeries who command their realms and hold dominion over forests and waters, fire and air, dusk and dawn, and the turning of the seasons.

Each Faery in the series is a complete avatar, with custom fae skin, fantasy makeup, shape, hair, eyes, ears, cloak, sculpted shoes, faery gown, faery wreath, and scripted flexi-wings. Also includes prim eyelashes, a facelight, stockings and gloves. The faery queen outfit may be worn as an elegant long gown or as a short modern faery dress.

The Faery Queen Series currently includes:

Moerava Winter Faery

Avatar Maker’s Guild

While exhibiting for the Isle of Wyrms Winter Festival, I had the chance to meet such incredible avatar artists as Daryth Kennedy (Isle of Wyrms Dragons); Becky Nosferatu (Magician’s Productions); Sylver Bu (Creator of the Thel); and Zephyr Pennell (Lone Star Ranch, a remarkable horse creator who is now launching into exquisitely beautiful equine avatars). Most of them are members of the Avatar’s Makers Guild, which I have just joined! I had to IM Becky Nosferatu to get the secret Avatar Maker title :-D

I am amazed by the kindness and generosity of these gifted creators. All of them made significant donations to the charity proceeds for the Isle of Wyrms favorite charity, which is St. Tiggywinkle’s Wildlife Hospital in England. When I had a question about setting permissions on custom fantasy skins, Sylver Bu was prompt to advise me on her approach and gave me a few other pointers. They are all wonderfully supportive and encouraging of emerging avatar artists, and I see none of the drama and negative competition that seems to manifest itself over in the Second Life fashion world.

Perhaps this is why I feel so at home among dragons, fae, elves, furries and other fantasy characters. They have such friendly communities filled with interesting, creative, and collaborative folks.

Isle of Wyrms Winter Festival Special Edition Avatars

The Isle of Wyrms is one of the most spectacular set of sims, community, and gathering of avatars to be seen in Second Life. If you haven’t visited yet — you are missing out! Daryth Kennedy has created the most exquisite avatars in Second Life — the Isle of Wyrms Dragons, Wyrmlings, and Hatchlings. The dragon citizens are friendly and diverse, coming from all over the globe. Visit the Festival Ice Castle setting in Limbo: Isle of Wyrms Winter Festival

The Isle of Wyrms is currently hosting their annual Winter Festival. I created four Winter Edition avatars just in time for the festival.
